Commenting on the event, Martin Lewis, money expert.
‘Nobody should be taken in by dodgy personal loans or payday loans, but if you are, you need to be armed with the right information to make a fair choice. People get so many mixed messages about borrowing from dodgy companies that it can be hard to know what is right and what isn’t. ‘This event has a high proportion of independent experts from big names, like TSB, with an important message. If you want to borrow, don’t be scared to ask for the best deal. ‘Even though banks charge some of the highest rates in the world, the event is very pro-banking. Many people pay into their current accounts rather than getting interest on their cash, so we will be aiming to offer unbiased comparisons of these rates.’
